Er wurde neben Pat Nixon auf dem Gelände seines Elternhauses und der Bibliothek in Yorba Linda beigesetzt. Seine Beerdigung wurde in den Massenmedien übertragen, jedoch war es kein offizielles Staatsbegräbnis.
