Seit Android 9 können Anwender für einen besseren Schutz der Privatsphäre DNS-Abfragen verschlüsseln. Das entsprechende Feature nennt sich Private DNS. Da einige DNS-Server wie Blahdns und dnsforge auch Werbe- und Tracking-Server filtern, nutzen viele Anwender Private DNS auch als systemweiten Adblocker.

Welchen DNS verwende ich Android?

Die DNS-Optionen findet ihr unter Android ab Version 9 in den Einstellungen unter „Drahtlos und Netzwerke“. Wählt hier zur Konfiguration die Option „Privates DNS“ aus. Im nächsten Schritt wählt ihr dann die Option „Privates DNS konfigurieren“.
