Woher kommt die Alocasia?

Die Gattung Alocasia gehört zur Tribus Colocasieae in der Unterfamilie Aroideae innerhalb der Familie der Araceae. Die Gattung Alocasia ist vom tropischen sowie subtropischen Asien über Malesien bis zum östlichen Australien verbreitet. In China gibt es acht Arten.
