Zwar durchdringen die WLAN-Funkwellen im Gegensatz zu Licht auch massive Barrieren wie Wände und Decken, die Stärke des Signals nimmt dabei aber ab und somit auch die Güte der Verbindung. Das senkt wiederum die Datenrate.
