Wie gross ist ein Plot Chia?
Für die Erstellung eines K-32 Plots wird temporärer Speicher in Höhe von 238,3 GiB (256 GB) benötigt. Die finale Datei hat eine Größe von 101,4 GiB. Wenn du mehrere Dateien parallel Plotten möchtest, brauchst du entsprechend mehr Speicher.
Welche Festplatte Chia?
Wer in Chia Coins investieren will, sollte also eine große Menge an Speicherplatz auf einer HDD oder SSD bereitstellen können und auch über ausreichend Arbeitsspeicher verfügen. Besonders die größeren Festplatten mit 4 bis 18 Terabyte sind beliebt.
Kann ich Chia Plots verschieben?
Ja, Chia Plot Dateien können ohne Probleme auf andere Festplatten, PCs, NAS, etc. transferiert werden. Nach dem Verschieben müssen diese lediglich im Client neu eingelesen werden.

Was ist Chia Farming?
Im Chia-Jargon wird das als Farming bezeichnet, die Plots entsprechen den Feldern der Farm. Ähnlich einer Lotterie, allerdings im Fünf-Minuten-Rhythmus, wird dann geprüft, welche Farm den Plot hat, der einem zufällig ausgewählten Hash am nächsten kommt.
Was braucht man um Chia zu farmen?
Welche Hardware wird für das Chia Plotting / Farming benötigt? Die beste Hardware für das Chia Plotten / Farmen ist die, die man bereits besitzt. Die meisten werden noch externe USB Festplatten, einen Raspberry Pi oder ähnliches rumliegen haben.

What determines the size of the Chia network?
The total size of the Chia network is the combination of all plots connected to the network. As of this writing, there’s about 310PiB of plots connected to the network. Crucially, your probability of being rewarded Chia is proportional to the amount of plots you contribute – the person with the most plots doesn’t „win“ all the Chia.

How much space does it take to create a plot in parallel?
Given that, many people create multiple plots in parallel. Creating a single plot takes ~350GB of hard drive space* and consumes ~4GB of RAM. Creating 2 plots in parallel takes ~700GB of hard drive space and consumes ~8GB of RAM, you get the picture. To create plots in parallel you need the available hard drive space and the available RAM.
